Code of Practice has been commissioned by stahl + verbundbau GmbH with the permit phase for the Battery Park pilot project in Schwerin.
In recent years, Younicos, the Berlin-based energy-sector start-up, have developed a commercial and technical plan for a fully automated Battery Park which will now be implemented with this turn-key project beginning in June 2013.
The mass storage system is planned to be operative from mid-2014.
With 5 MWh capacity, it is designed to provide stability to grid power enabling the optimized integration of wind and solar power generation.
