The new-build roof extension and the renovation of a tenement block in Berlin-Schöneberg have recently been completed.

Four new modern apartments with private terraces in an entirely new-build roof-space have been added to the original five-storey building from 1910.

Thanks to the new roof structure with its high proportion of flat roof, the new apartments feature ceiling heights of well over three metres and a minimum of pitched roof space. Sliding doors on all of the terraces and the use of wooden decking extend the living areas to the outside spaces.

As part of the new build, refurbishment and modernisation measures were carried out to the existing building - the facade was repaired, single-glazed windows were sensitively replaced and the original windows refurbished. The courtyard and the gardens in front of the building have also been renewed.
