Feasibility study for Onkel Tom’s Hütte metro station heritage-listed retail mall

The ‘Ladenstrasse‘, designed by Otto Rudolf Salvisberg in 1931 extends the Onkel Tom’s Hütte Metro station designed by Alfred Grenander two years earlier. It is a unique piece of retail heritage and still serves as a key local centre for the renowned ‘Waldsiedlung’ in Berlin-Zehlendorf.

On the basis of our transport and renovation experience, CODE OF PRACTICE has been commissioned by the Ladenstrasse’s administration to develop solutions to improve its retail environment and public spaces in collaboration with users, the council and the local citizens action group.
