Code of Practice presents a study commissioned by AG Kiezhütte for the future use of the former Sparkasse branch building in Riemeisterstraße opposite the historical shopping mall.
The building spans the train tracks like a bridge and is therefore unsupported. The internal space will be stripped out and designed for flexible usage. Along the road a Café including a training kitchen and an ice cream parlour are planned. The central and back area of the Kiezhütte can host workshops and affordable office and work spaces for temporary usage.
The former car park will be greened and covered with a detached wooden canopy construction. The new Kiezhütte's color scheme will match the neighboring Papageiensiedlung.
